This lake near Coldwater sounds like a fun lake to fish. Looking for info/feedback from others who have been there. What is a good map source? How are the roads and is a 4X4 required?

JB - I'm not the best source since I haven't been there, but I believe that it is walk in only. Plus, it's a hard walk in - 20 minutes in , three hours out. I'm sure that you will get more details from someone else. Don't pass up Coldwater, easy access & some nice fish.

Did a one day turn around there two years ago, not reccomended. Plan on at least a one night stay. The hike out is brutal.
The roads in are rough but can be done with two wheel truck.
The fishing can be great and the atmosphere is terrific.
Would like to know how it goes for you.

P.S.
Got a map from one of the gal's at Coldwater ridge.
Don't remember who, but if you call I'm sure you'll find them very willing to help, although they may want to charge a "FEE" now.

smile Castle is a premier lake, great fishing, large & fiesty. Definately you will need up to date maps & plan on rough roads. Bring your camping gear as weyerhauser may lock the gates at any time!
