The week of June 25 there were 69,352 rainbows planted out from the net pens. Yes, you read that right. They were between 2 and 3.2/lb.

Mayfield has some bass, not in great numbers. Lots of squawfish and some trophy size tigers of course. I don't know though, these trout may overtake even some of the larger muskies!!

So do you need a tag for the tigers? Would you suggest a .300 H&H mag, or the old standby, .416 Rigby? Those tigers sure can take a lot of lead! laugh laugh laugh

I'm just looking for a little info here. Did all those 69,352 fish go into mayfield? Or is that how many fish were planted in all the lakes? I didn't read the wording of the statement very clearly.

don't take those sqawfish and try and turn them into any of the columbia fish stations, there were some guys who did that a couple years back and they got busted big time!

That is true. Fraud is a big deal on this program. I worked on it for five years and you wouldn't believe some of the stuff people would try to come up with!

I went out to mayfied saturday had a good time laugh no big fish story
So why do those mayfield trout fight so good. confused not a little bit but a lot more fight to them than the other Trout lakes I have fished eek
