I am going to submit proposal that Lake Serene be reopened to the normal April-October fishing season. Right now the lake is closed 245 days out of the year thanks to being closed both November to April and then again from July through August, all months inclusive. That leaves only 120 days of fishing on a lake with public access in one of the most populated areas in the state. In my opinion, this is inexcusable and probably the result of local landowners complaining. Does anyone know if this lake recieves plants of rainbow trout? The deadline for proposals is the 13th, and they have to be recieved by then, so I'm looking for support and responses. Thanks.

Hey!! Don't know anything about that lake but decided I ought to show support... MORE POWER TO YA!! Hope everything works out, sounds like you have a good case... Unless they have a really good reason for it not to be opened confused

I fish Serene quite a bit. The lake does receive plants of rainbow, and is a very good producer when it's open. I've also been on the receiving end of some hostile receptions from lakeside homeowners. One going so far as to demand that I show him my license or he'd call a cop friend of his. This was IN season with the gate OPEN.

I'd wholeheartedly support any action you might want to take to get Serene on a normal April through November schedule. It makes no sense at all to close a lake in such a populated area, pretty close to Seattle if you go up 99, during the summer months.

Please let me know if there is anything I can do to help.
