I am looking for good perch water to take a few kids fishing. I know Lake Washington is really good but that a ways from Vancover. Anyone know of a lake a little closer.

Kress Lake is located in your neck of the woods...near intersection of Kalama River Road and old highway 99. It is planted with trout and has populations of panfish. Several years ago I took my son to this lake to catch his first fish. We probably ended up catching & releasing 15 bluegills. I believe its non-motorized boats only.

Kress Lake is an excellent option. This tiny lake has everything, even catfish. No gas motors allowed though. Great for float tubes or car toppers.
