I seen an ad for this in STS magazine. I've been looking for it in the store, but can't seem to find any. It's a new kind of Powerbait that's supposed to be 40 % stronger than the original stuff, or something like that. Has anybody seen it in any sporting goods store? Anybody tried it? Just curious, want to know if I should buy a whole case for trout opener next April. laugh I'm also bored and have nothing better to do than sit here and type, so... laugh

Super power bait. Fake corn. You guys must really like to eat trout. Just give me a few flies that work and I will be happy. I just don't like to keep anything that I catch. Besides planted fish don't seem to get that big. It takes too many of them to make a meal. cool Jim S. ----------------------------- So much water ---so little time

Hey Jim, I release a lot of trout too. I'm a fly/spinner guy too, and release all wild trout/high mountain lake trout/small stockers. But where I mostly fish for trout in the springtime, the average size fish is 16-17" and between 1 and 2 pounds. A couple of those "stockers" will make a darn fine meal. These fish are triploids, by the way. Concentrate their energy on growth, rather than reproduction. I'm sure you know what they are. Anyway...anybody tried this stuff yet? Thanks again.

Power bait TURBO ? Is this like pro long? You can drain the oil out of your engine and drive to your favorite fishing hole without ruinning your engine?
Or is this the new turbo bait that will add 30 hp by merly installing it on your hook? laugh

OH [Bleeeeep!]! My signature has your moniker in it, Trout Master! Sorry, I never realized there was somebody on here called that. Is it OK if I keep it in there?

i havent seen it in the stores yet myself either. my friend takes a lot of trout using powerbait and swears by it. im sure the "turbo" version would at least be as good as the original...maybe try one bottle first before you order that case, to make sure you like it laugh

Well, thanks Trout Master. wink

Ya know, Carl, I have actually heard of and even seen people plunking with Powerbait/spin-n-glow for winter steelhead. I couldn't believe it! But when I seen two fish caught on it last year, I did believe it. I think I'm going to try it this winter myself shocked -Turbo even better if it comes out in time.

I just can't wait till that stuff comes out. Hey, KSR, thanks for the heads up in your area- not seeing the stuff up there-I'm gonna buy the whole freakin' store out when it finally comes out! Guess I'm just like a little kid craving candy. laugh

Krome, The stuff is called "Berkley Turbo Dough" and comes in weird colors like "Bubblegum, Pink Lemonade, Blue Neon and Blue Mango." Here in San Diego,CA it goes for $4.99 a bottle and like you said it's supposed to be 42% stronger than the regular power bait. I had heard rumors for years that Berkley had diluted or thinned the strength of their power bait and for all we know this could just be the reintroduction of the original stuff. Either way I guess it's worth a shot to try at least one bottle. Tight lines,Marty B.

Thanks for all the info, Marty. Sounds like some good stuff. If you guys got it down there already, then it should be only a matter of a couple months or so until we get it up here, I'm guessing. Woohoo! laugh And no, I wont go too crazy over it, KSR, I'll only buy about 10 bottles or so to start off with. laugh
