Certainly one of the better westerns to hit the big screen in a few years!

Bridges did a great job!

May have to set aside theater boycott, or wait for Netflix.

I know what you're speaking of... Drives me nuts to spend the money to sit in a theatre.. Much rather wait, but the previews were capable of getting me back into the theatre for the first time in nearly 2 years... It was well worth it.

The only time my Grandpa took me to the movies was to see High Noon in '53 and I've been hooked on them since. John Wayne was in tough shape when True Grit was made. He was only 62 but he'd lost one lung and couldn't walk more than 30 feet or so without getting winded. He made about 10 movies after that so he really was tough.

The price of admission for this tale--this remake is well worth it---not accounting what SG is talkin about. I remember seeing movies that you got to catch a cartoon, a 3 stooges click. I agree..but you will not leave this flick dissapointed..Coen Bros make quality movies.

The 'almost grown" kids came up for Eugene to visit the old parents and we went to see True Grit tonight. 4 thumbs up! A very nice remake of the original.

John Wayne was a movie star!!He couldn't play every role, but did an amazing job at performing what he did best.

I could see remaking an ok movie, but a classic??

I won't watch i in the theater.. I might see it on netflix...
