Do they normally stay shallow like coho in the salt? I have heard trolling Kastmasters work also.

Carl, the few reports that I have seen about cutts being caught on Lake Washington report that they are down deep. Refer to the reports/archived reports on Lake Washington in Mike C's site. When you going out?

Carl, okay, here`s the skinny, fish it at 55' deep, run a 3 way swivel with a tag line for your weight, and a green tiger striped rapala.

Rainycity, thanks for the info. A green tiger striped rapala, hmmmmmm....I am going to have to get me some of those. You fish for them at 55'? F&H News says to fish for them shallow, top 20'. Have you had any luck fishing for them shallow?

Sunday will not work for me unfortunately. We'll have to connect another time. Good luck and keep us posted.

Fished Lk WA this morning. Water temp 48 degrees. Lauched at Sayres and headed right for the north end of Poverty Rock. Threw everything at 'em.....Needlefish, Flatfish, Power Bait, jointed Rapala's (F&H News recommendation). I trolled shallow, I down rigged. In the end I trolled a small frog colored Flatfish (ol' reliable) with no weight right on the surface and WHAMO! FISH ON! A nice 3 lb rainbow. It was shaped like a football. That fish alone made the trip worth while.
