I just landed a job at the Everett Boeing facility and will start training next Monday. Just figured I'd see if anyone on here works there too. I'm pretty excited to start and I have second shift which means I can fish in the mornings before work and hopefully have the river to myself sometimes.

Congrats, good to see someone getting a job instead of losing it for a change.

Congrats.

If you're working swing, I might suggest staying up til daybreak to fish a bit before bed. I worked swing and graveyard in my early 20's and it seemed to work better that way so I wasn't so beat during work.

That 10 to 6 shift is a real bear, especially if you're trying to keep a normal sleep schedule.

God help you if you have a family.

Swing or 2nd shift when I worked at Boeing was about 2:30pm to 11pm. It wasn't a great fishing shift but it was good for golf. Congrats on the job and if you can, take advantage of the educational opportunities Boeing and the union offer.

Thanks everybody. I'm pretty excited to be working with my hands again and get out from behind a desk doing sales and customer service. 2nd shift is a 2:30pm-11:00pm gig. I should be able to hit the sky a couple days before work now and spend more time with the wife on the weekends. Ultimately 1st shift would be ideal which is something like 4:30am-2:00pm but it takes seniority to get that shift.

Thanks,

Drew

I read recently they are trying to hire mechanics and having a hard time finding them.
