The reaction from the mainstream media seems strangely subdued, as if they're all just blowing this off as some unexplained quirk about the natural world that should be largely ignored. It's amazing just how many events were taking place around the Globe.

Here's the timeline

The bird deaths I can't explain, but mass fish kills are extremely common, especially in the colder months. I think people have been a little overly-paranoid. Mass kills are also very common when bodies of water turn over in the fall and spring.

"Dozens of fish found dead in San Antonio, Texas, unknown causes." Jesus, dozens? I clicked on the article and they failed to mention the type of fish. Were they dace or catfish? Maybe even carp?

Wonder how many people were down wind of the nuclear plant during the bird kill. It sounds like there could be human consequences associated with the bird kill down the road. Like you, I look forward to additional information as it is made available and probably via the internet. I really don't expect the mainstream media to dig much further, unless they absolutely have to. They are fine with leaving it as is; especially if liability is associated with a potential for legal action by those down winders, should they start getting ill and dieing in alarming numbers.

More will be revealed......... I hope.

With all the bird/fish kills happening at so many different locations around the world, I would doubt it would be caused by a single nuclear plant in the US. The bird/fish kill in Arkansas basically was one type of bird and one type of fish (I believe), so I would also think that if it was from some sort of release from the plant it would cause similar cases in other types of birds/fish not to mention animals/humans but of course I am just guessing.
I know that when I was stationed in North Carolina we had 2 or 3 fish kills in 4 years, I believe they were mullet but was put out that it was do to poor oxygen levels. Maybe these things just naturally occur.

As I said in my first comment I am only guessing, so I understand my opinion does not much matter to anyone but myself. Like I said while I lived in NC we had a couple fish kills, they were always reported as some type of mullet. Could there have been other fish involved just not in as great of number? Sure. The river was full of many types of fish (bass, catfish, crappie, brim, perch, and carp) but the news just reported about the mullet. So the fish kill doesn’t seem too far out in right field for me.
I have limited access to TV News (only get AFN) and pretty slow internet but from the few articles/shows I have seen the AR/LA bird kills were redwing black birds.
I would still think that if that incident was caused by some sort of release from the plant that you would see similar symptoms/results in other animals. I am obviously no expert in this field so it is all just my opinion.

I have heard this rumor several times lately. Does anyone have any related or unrelated info as to why this is happening?

Look around. There are conspiracy theories and there are conspiracy facts. How many times have you been lied to by the government? How many times has a theory become a proven fact? Just saying......
