Well all the rivers are shut down except the Oly Pen so this weekend was the beginning of my annual yet short pilgrimage to the still water fishery.
It was both frustrating productive. The temp was about the same out of the water as in. Thirtysix degrees.The rain storms rolled through like Sherman through the south.The KRONNIES were coming off like gangbusters.For the fish it was A gobble fest and the fish were all up on the surface thrashing bashing the tinny fly guys. I was surrounded for seves hrs. easy and my only fish was beautiful 18 in. brauller. I took him with A muddler on my dry line,trolling. I hate trolling! June 1 isn't to far off and then summer run not long after.

Not all the rivers are shut down. The Skagit and the Sauk are still open if you like long drives.

There are many rivers open near me.
