I talked to Mike at Mardon resort and he said it's pretty slow right now. I went over for the Mar. 1st opener and did well at Hamptons and N. teal, we could have limited both days. As the weather warms the fishing should pick up quick.

I just read off the Mardon website, that they are going to release like 50,000 trout on the 4th of Apr. That should make for some Quick fishing on the main resevoir. I may be able to go over on the 4th and 5th, if I can I'll be driving a green chevy Z-71 with a winch on the front and a matching canopy. I might also be towing a 15' smokercraft with a 25 yamaha. Maybe we can hook up and do a little fishing on the 5th. P.S. Mardon has a good website with a weekly fishing report, look it up under the Grant co. lake index.

HBP, thanks again!! Checked out the Mar-Don report page, sounds like L. Hampton and the Main lake will be the spots to be. Corral lk. looks slow this year, so far. We will be in a maroon 97 dodge ram 4-by, if you see us come on over and say HI! We'll do the same, any idea what size those 50,000 released rainbows will be?? eek eek

If the trout are as big as the past, I think the average size was about 12" with a some bigger.

If the trout are as big as the past, I think the average size was about 12" with some bigger. They won't be hogs but that's what the Hamptons are for. Two of my friends have gotten fish over 5 lbs out of there last year and this year.

Tell me about Upper Hampton!! Thou personally I've never got a really big one thier, we were the only other boat on the lake when those 2 hogs were taken a few years ago. Mike M. at mar-don got them from the guy who caught them and has one or bolth mounted at the store. I took pics. of the battles from our boat, while his buddy shot video from the back seat of his...that was cool laugh laugh .....c/22
