From the South King County area, any ideas on some places to go cat fishin'? How about on the east side of the mountains? Thanks for all the help!

the best lake in the south king area is lake dollof in federal way, lots of bullhead in there, it is almost always a sure thing during the summer months...if you are looking for channel cats, you would probably do better elsewhere as i have never found any consistent channel cat fishery in king county. maybe the eastern side would be a better place to look??

anyone else have any experience catfishing in this area?

well my man almost every lake in Washington has some amount of keeper Cat's in them. Just buy some Blood bait and hit the lake at some time just after dusk. Find a good seat and spit some chew and bring a flash light.

Kress lake near the Kalama river used to have a good channel cat program. went there a couple times a few years ago and did pretty good.

Try Gissburg Ponds north of Marysville. They planted channel cats in there about 5 years ago.

Gotta second the ponds just north of Smokey Point. Caught my first channel ever there. Fun time, good fight.

i USED SOME MOUSE FLIES TIED WITH DEER HAIR AND GOT TWO LARGE TOM CATS IN MY ALLEY

Want to have some fun go to the snake river for cats.
Littlegoose Dam above & below the dam.
Use cutbait from squaw fish.
Worms wont work that well.
smallmouth &other spinyrays are in the river also.
