I took my son and his friend Collin out fishing today at a pond in Olympia. Collin hooked this monster broodstock buck after about an hour of patient powerbait dunking. Both boys sat and talked, ate some snacks, and drank a few juice boxes. Good times were had by all, as I helped my 17th young fisherman catch his first fish.

And thank you, Dogfish, for introducing yet another youngster to this most delightful sport. My guess is you are one of those few guys who can sit on a dock and watch kids catch fish and not care a lick if you even wet a line. Keep 'em coming!!

Nice job! That must have been a real treat. Watching/helping a youg kid catch his first trout (especially a big one!!) is better than a day catching 20 yourself....
