Hey All,

I've heard of the Thin Mint Leech, but I've been having a lot of problems finding the recipe for tying it. I've looked online to no success. Any help out there?

Oops! No and nope. That wasn't the Thin Mint Leech. That was just a Mini leech pattern--not exactly the sme thing. The one feature I recall about the TML was that it used peacock herl for the body. Unfortuantely, that's all I can recall about it. Any other suggestions? confused

I could not tell you the exact recipe for the Thin Mint eventhough I have looked at that damn fly in the boxes at work over and over and over again.

It is a pattern, developed by George Cook of Sage, Simms, Issacs Ranch etc. fame and has a tail of brown and olive marabou and a couple strands of small pearl flashabou. It also has a gold bead head and I believe a body of olive dubbing and brown hackle or vice versa. Just remember to keep the dressing the light...
