A co-worker died today. Heart attack at 39. Was a great gal, kinda like a daughter to me. Have known her and the family for about 15 years. She leaves behind two kids and a husband. Both kids are in High School. Her family always went on cool vacations and did some traveling to areas outside the continental United States, so I'm thinking that was an extremely good thing to do. I guess my point is ........ do fun stuff while you have the chance......because you never know when you're done here. But like I told my youngest boy.....try not to be a damn tornado and pick up your own sh!t.

Slab Sorry for your and her Family's loss. That is way to young.
I am now paying for the I'll worry about it later life style I have led. Just can't say I regret to much of it. My dad was a very conservitive man until recently and is just recently admitting he regrets it. It works both ways I guess. His conservativeness worked out well for me. He has always been that voice of reason that kept me from going totaly out of control. Having kids changes priorities a bit but once they are on their own I am lighting the after burners and goin for broke. I am Still lerning from the old man. He is 78, retired at 48 and getting ready for another 6 week fishing trip to Alaska this year. One of those guys that could go first class if he would let himself but instead he cant go buy groceries without a box of coupons in his cart. He was always on my ass for the way I lived life but now complamints me for it. If he knew the whole story he would probably beat me up side the head with a shovel. Guess the goal is dying without too many regrets to still have a smile on your face and your last words being HEY watch this then having the crap slapped out of ya by Sol Duc avatar.

Slab, sorry about your friend/co-worker that sucks. It is very eye opening.
So many people put their physical and mental health as a low priority when it needs to be a high priority. People always say they put their family above all other things, and then ignore their personal health. Which doesn't make sense, I want my family around me for as long as they can be, and to do that we all need to be healthy.
I have already told my wife what I want my headstone to read, and I try everyday to live it.
"Here lies Ryan, he was up for anything."

Sol Duc....we're good. The "why" of her heart attack is unknown at this point. Not overweight, no pre existing condition known...just an ugly puzzle. Her daughter, a sophmore in high school, just the night before scored 45 points in her best ever effort in basketball. The entire other team scored a total of 47 points. Of course mom was there yelling and screaming....and then she collapsed the next morning. I really didn't intend this post to be a downer. Life is what it is....make it good.
