Any one heard of or about this lake? A friend of mine mentioned it to me and say I should check it out.

tyee lake is on the right side of hwy 2 coming into monroe heading east, across the street from the industrial complex. it is planted heavily for a kids derby for opening weekend but im not sure how well it holds up

a blurb from the everett herald
"Kids' day a success: The kids' fishing day at Tye Lake near Monroe, sponsored by the Sky Valley Chapter of TU, was as usual an outstanding success. The club again offered to have the largest rainbow caught mounted free of charge, and that particular prize was won by 2-year-old Alexandria Osborne of Monroe. "Alex" nailed a jumbo 'bow of 8 pounds, 13 ounces, on tackle loaned by the club, and beached it with just a little help from her father, Robert, and a club member with a handy net. "

Is this lake a "juvenile only" lake?

No and it's not very deep either. I've seen older type people fishing there in the evenings. So you will fit right in. You can probly walk around it in 20 minutes. No trees or any brush to get in your way. It's just a big hole in the ground.Hence a man made lake. There's a park on the south end but I don't think that you can launch a boat from there. Heck with a little weight you could hit the other side. It's just long and narrow

Take I-5 North or South to Exit 194 (Hwy 2). Stay on Hwy @ to Monroe. At first light (before Fairgrounds) take right on Fryelands Blvd. Lake is on the left approx. 1/8-1/4 mile.

Good luck I have never been to that lake but thought it would be a great place to stop after work one day.
