It's just another way to fleece people. I heard on the radio today that Libya doesn't export a very significant amount of oil, and almost all of it goes to Europe.

Oil companies will rack-up record profits, while working Americans suffer and T-baggers will support their cause to screw everyone over because it involves the 1% of the 1%. Seen it, heard it.

Once the prices soar, buy all the gas guzzling trucks you can for pennies on the dollar. Once the market crashes again and gas prices go down you can triple your money...

It happened before and it will happen again...

I think your right there Keith. Been stalling for awhile now on buying a new truck, mostly because my current one is still running ok and not costing me money in repairs, so why fork over the cash, but the time is nearing.

I was going to buy a diesel, but been watching them deisel prices at the pump. Paid $2.84 for gas yesterday and diesel was like $3.37. Kind of worried that it is just going to be too expensive to run a diesel. No matter, still have to have a truck.

Yep, and assuming these gas prices do touch $5.00 a gallon it will be the straw that breaks Chryslers, Chevy and Fords back... It BK'd 2 of them last time...

But for those with some capital sitting around I'd go to the auctions and buy up all them Diesels once prices hit that $5.00 a gallon, I watched them sitting at auction yards for 1/3 to 1/2 of their value they held at the $2.50 diesel prices.

We're liquidating all our trucks at our dealerships, getting ready for it....

I drive the Dodge 1500 Hemi, it's a guzzler it's self. But like you said, got to have a truck!

Bring it on! When we bought the house we planned on rising fuel prices, 2 blocks for me to work and about 8 for my wife. Had to pay more for the house but savings have already started even at these prices.

We just happened to be looking during the Gulf spill, it really narrowed down our search area with that on the news everyday.

well dammit, i was planning on getting rid of my corolla this spring for something newer. might have to sell the truck instead.

I picked up some Transocean stock not long after the gulf oil spill. Might be a good time to pick up some more.

Just hang onto the Corolla until the prices hit $5.00 a gallon, your Corolla will be lined with gold in the eyes of the buyer... Literally... Any 30+mpg car will bring stupid-stupid money....

If you are thinking about getting rid of a truck do it now and do it fast...

Glad I make my own biodiesel!! Costs me just over $1.00 per gallon to make and about 24 hours for any size batch upto 75 gallons, plus a little time to collect the oil. Guess I better secure a few more oil suppliers.

My second car has 253k mile on it. I have put all but 30K miles on it. I've been waiting for more than 2 yrs for it to die so I can buy a second diesel rig but it just won't die! 8)
