Welcome to bass fishing Just wait till you get a monster fish on the end of your line you will be ready to sell everything you own just to go out again. laugh
Most bass lures are designed to catch bass fishermen not bass. I never had too much luck with spinnerbaits or crankbaits I try to stick with soft plastics in natural colors.

You can go to www.washingtonlakes.com go to fishing techniques and click on bass tips there is a fine article on tube rigs one of my favorites.

Look for a little red mazda truck out at kapowsin And I will tell you what I know over a cold frosty one. eek

A jhon boat and a trolling motor will go a long way it does not have to be pretty it just has to keep most of the water out. laugh eek laugh

hey spokey,
for bass,if you got a boat, try crank baits, in relational type colors to the fish that are in the lake you are fishng, and also kalins grubs work very well for me when i fish for smallies in rivers..i like the chartruese pepper ones and also smoke colored kalins work well also, some people like tube baits, ive never landed anything on them my self but you never know..also, jus plain ole night crawler on a slip bobber or with a slip sinker rigging.. any more questions, jus ask..**berkley boy**

Release 'em, johnny's seafood usually has fresh bass fillets (saves the trouble of cleanin' em). I usually only keep fish that've been hooked deep or in the eye, the ones that'll probly won't make it (except trout i tend to keep the smaller one's for fryin' or smokin').

Do spinner baits work very well, I got a couple smaller ones in chartruese. With the crankbaits do i go small or big?

Thanks for the tips

Rapalas will usually work good when the bass are near the surface. I got alot of crankbaits, medium size are a good choice, it doesnt matter. The crankbait I always go to is a crawdad colored speed trap by luhr jensen. I also fish soft plastics, tubes, worms, all kinds. There is alot of different techniques and ways to catch bass its so fun. Good Luck
