I ate 4 today, perfectly good with my spicey noodles. I figure one pheasant egg equals 1/2 chicken egg. All bird eggs are edible. These were as bright orange inside as my chicken eggs.

Do you plan on incubating them Doggy? Assuming you have a cock in the bunch of course. I would, then sell them to Dave and Dave for bird dog training.

Nice! Organic Omega-3 pheasant eggs!
I bet those eggs would go good with your elk sausages. Yummy!

I have 2 roosters. One has 3 hens, the other has 2 hens. I have started collecting eggs to put in the incubator. As soon as my current run of chicks hatch (day 8 in the incubator now), I'll get these guys going. I hope to set 45-50 eggs. Once hatched, I'll look into giving a few away to new homes. I might need to get another incubator, as I also want to hatch out some of my turkeys.

I used to hatch out goose, chicken and duck eggs. It's a ton of fun. We once gave a goose egg to a banty hen. She hatched it and looked after it like it was her own, but I'm prety sure she wonderfed how it got so damn big!!

Where did you get the pheasants or eggs to begin with? I know a guy looking for birds for dog training and has thought about raising his own birds but doesn't know how to get started.

I got some day old chicks in June and raised them. Started with 10, I think, lost a few, traded away 2 hens to get a second rooster.

Raising them isn't too hard. You just need to build a bullet proof place to keep them in. My bird pen is a bit small, and I know I need to make them a larger pen. Plan on 20 SF per bird.

Same. Very rich yolk. I hear duck eggs are one of the richest eggs.

Those are good noodles except for the amount of salt which is 32% of your daily need so check the salt % in the other items you eat that day. Since I have to watch my salt intake, it's the first thing I check for.
I put a few Pheasant eggs under our banty hen when we kept chickens and she acted like she laid them.

Got my first turkey egg today! Next thing you know, the quail will start pooping out eggs and it will be an eggstravaganza here on the farm.
