I know I'm missing out on a lot of good fishing reports (and other things) from not being in the FB community, but I'm still able to sleep just fine every night. Last time I saw Addicted I asked why I never see him on PP anymore. His response? "All I need is Facebook".

First there was Myspace, now it's Facebook. Just like everything else, I'm sure there will be something new and improved within the next year...maybe I'll jump on that bandwagon when the time comes.

Would still like to see the movie "The Social Network" however....

the issue here isn't what FB is good for but the problems. i have never been on any site where people come out of the woodwork to suddenly ask for fresh friendships. so in one way the fishing boards are nothing like FB. how many guys/gals from PP have had a old girlfriend track them down here? how many have a distant cousin find them here?

Brewer, just use Fister's mug shot for your Facebook photo; it'll cut down on your friend requests considerably.

When I was in the 6Th grade I feel in love with this gal. That was 31 years ago.

A year and a half ago she got a hold of me through my oldest boy's FB page.

Sent her some pictures of my family, and said send me some of yours..... she never replied again.

I guess that's what happens when you marry a trophy wife. While being a bald ugly dude. smile

I am a very casual FB'er. What I don't get is why some people who I barely knew 30 years ago, had no common interests with, and even downright didn't like would look me up and now and send a friend request? It must just be a popularity thing to see how many friends you can get. I told myself when I started I would never send a friend request but I think I've sent maybe one or two.

I joined Facebook cause i was on this Forum and to the right of the page i noticed that a ton of people who were on here were doing it...so i joined to start playing farmville cause my freinds were also and in the winter and where they live there is not much more to do but ice fish..

i dont see many people that talk about fishing... i now have two accounts...i dont just play farmville...although that is why i started...i got into playing Mafia Wars...i enjoyed playing Mafia so much that i started a second character that is only for mafia and i usually dont accept anyone that doesnt play mafia as a freind if i can help it

i do have people contact me...i have a few thousand fb freinds i prob really only know 50-60 people...i didnt start it to connect with freinds and i turn my chat off because i DONT want to talk to people...sometimes ill turn it on for a min to talk to my best freind real quick and forget to turn chat off and its like a circus i have suddenly 3 or 4 people trying to talk to me, like they have some sensor i have my chat on...

for me facebook has been fun..but only cause i play two games...there was not much for me to do when i has shoulder surgery..five months of being very bored..besides physical thearapy and taking a walk everyday i was BORED out of my mind...for anyone new to facebook you can block all of the games you see people playing and if you decide later that you want to play that game you can get the posts back...you can block seeing people that you are freinds with..

if someone really wants to talk to me they send me a message..im on fb everyday, and im more likely to see your message on fb then i would see your email...my emails are all junk mail most of the time and fb is normally just people getting ahold of me smile

I met my girlfriend of 6 years on facebook. We were both going to Wazzu and she was the president of the Chris Ledoux fan club.

I think you're on Myspace, not FB, there Troll.

Yeah I agree with BWP.

The amount of fvcktards that think FB is "church" is mindnumbing.

A few weeks ago after getting soused and spouting off a bunch of schit on here I got onto FB and schitcanned a whole lot of 'friends' that did nothing but post prayer requests, gospel crap, pity parties, and trying to plug their stupid failing businesses & pyramid schemes.

Then I passed out and woke up feeling great.

LMAO at more than just this quote, FishPrince. Thanks.

I have never and never will be on FB. Some ask me why, and I tell them if you want to talk - pick up the phone and call me. I'm in the book.
