This Happened-Click

Sat with my family glued to the television at our house in Minnesota (11 members plus 2 coaches were from MN)

It remains to me the biggest moment in sports.

I was almost 10 when this happened and remember it very vividly and how it was such a big deal, even though I didn't care much for hockey at the time (heck I still don't much) but I appreciate the underdog winning in sports. I had the kids watch the Kurt Russell movie recently and they liked it. But it is hard to capture the event with a movie.

Watching a team full of college amateurs playing the finely tuned ultra-professional Soviet team and beating them was one of the highlights of my young sports watching life...incredible.

I just wished it had been on live tv. Sort of sucked already knowing the score.

I remember watching the game thinking, "How the hell did we actualy win this game."

But sure enough we did!

Sure as heck a once in a lifetime deal as this situation will never be repeated in our lifetimes!

I remember it also,I was 12 @ the time and it seemed like a huge deal then and now.Good luck,
