Was at the Snake above Lower Monumental and moved to willow Landing the last weekend in May. Best bet is to get above Lower Granite as the Corps is dumping water on 12 to 24 hr cycles to flush the juvenile salmon and steehead. The water is high and a little of color. The temp was 63 and some guys were catching channels in deep water, but for the bass this week with the hot weather should be a good staring point. Try 1/8 oz jigs with blue/silver 5" auger tails. The fish should be starting to move up to find spawning beds. That means the smaller males will be hitting and the bigger females are out on the 20-25 ft ledges. If you go deep try drop shot. Above all release the smallmouth and keep the crappies. The crappies should be hitting in bays and structure starting now.
