Can these cutthroat and big rainbows be had from the shore? If so what is the best thing to use. Has anybody had any succes with these fish from the bank. I saw what viro man said on his report but i don't know what a wedding band is is it a wedding ring, and how do you fish it. My 10 ft boat got a hole in it when my friend ran into a huge rock with it. Anyways any info will help.

I see a lot of guys fishing from Sayres Pits in the afternoon and evening. Usually when I am coming back from fishing for the day. Judging from the location (NW corner of the parking lot) of where they are fishing I would say they are not fishing for trout, probably panfish. confused I bet if you fished off of one of the docks on the launch side (east side) of the parking lot you might hook into a nice Cutt or Bow. Try a worm and bobber. Powercrack will not work with these large Cutts and Bows. Gotta use natural bait. I would imagine casting spoons and spinners would work also.

I think what Viro Man was refering to was indeed a wedding ring. Try suspending one under a bobber. eek

i've seen people catching tons of perch from the shore and even some BIG smallmouth, though i haven't actually seen anyone catch a trout from bank. i think i read in an archived post on washlakes.com about people catching cutts under the brige on mercer island, i could be wrong. good luck.
