Does any one have any suggestions for a river or stream in the general Puget Sound area. I don't have a boat. Focusing more on trout, but steelhead and salmom are invited.

The Green River has been pretty good lately for rainbows and the ocassional steelhead. Easy bank access and low water make it a good bet right now. Yellow rooster tail for the bows and pink roosters for the steelhead have brought us success this year. Don't tell anyone though.

Skykomish. Read the stats, it is the most productive in Pugetropolis for both Winter and Summer Steelhead. It's also the most crowded. There is a good reason all those guys are out there!

The Deschutes out of Olympia has some nice trout, selective fishery now. Follow it up as far as you want. It may also be a little lower that other rivers at this time. Nice fly shop in Tumwater, if you happen to FF.
