Well, looks like we got screwed...again. Thanks committee, for making us fly all the way to Charlotte to play UNC on their home away from home court! UNC and Duke are the poster teams for the NCAA and it drives me effn nuts. Like the 1st round game against Georgia and UNC really doesn't scare me that much, I just hate WHERE we have to play them. Ike Well said Ike............Just read this little tidbit, "North Carolina’s NCAA tournament record in North Carolina is 26-1. In Charlotte, the record is 7-0. Sort of makes you wonder if a Pac-10 team has ever played in their home state not to mention 27 times

Love March Maddness - Given the so-called weakness of western basketball I agree surprising to see 4 Pac-10 teams in the "dance".
That said as a group they have recieved some favorable draws and I expect them to do well (much better than their seeds would indicate). I expect the 4 to get at least 6 wins and would not be all that surprised to see 8 or more. Throw in Gonzaga and SDU the western will be well represented in the sweet sixteen.
As far as the Huskies decent matchups but a tough location. I agree with the others Georgia is a favorable match up and if the Huskies have their head in the game that should be a win. If they make it pass that first game they will likely be a handful for North Carolina.
As we know the Dawgs don't do well in front of hostile crowds but on the flip side they are a very difficult team to prepare for with a short turn around. Have not seen any teams with a deeper more athletic roster than UW. Couple that with an reasonably experienced team that is as prepared as any of Romar's team - can play a reasonable zone to go with their tough man to man and for the first time they seem willing to apply that full court pressure more frequently. Lots of looks to prepare for and at least a half dozen guys that go off for big nights.
Like the Huskies chances to make the sweet sixteen and if they get on that roll (especially after the Pac-10 tournament) they will be a scary matchup for nearly anyone.

Last time I looked the Huskies are up against Georgia in NC. Get a hold of yourselves and root for the Northwest team will ya ?! Coach Romar has gumption....I like that guy.
The consolation games.....who really cares about those. Work harder next year and get to the big dance. That is all.

Cougs should have got the play in bid to the NCAA tourney. USC wasted their opportunity; might have fared better in the NIT. Coach Kevin O'Neill's lapse in judgement and subsequent suspension during the PAC-10 tournament may have been a continuing distraction: http://www.pointguardu.com/content/kevin-o-neill-drunken-altercation-arizona-fans-659/O'Neill was reinstated in time to coach the Trojans to a season ending loss. USC finished with a record of 19 wins vs 15 losses, not counting the Arizona booster beatdown. Hey, at least the guy wasn't a marshmallow salesman! You got to be old and experienced to know where that last comment came from...
