State record for which state? Couldn't be WA with that wild fish out of the water, or if retained would be weighed on a certified scale with no need to calculate an estimated weight.

Awesome fish! Would have loved to tangled with that beast when I was out west last weekend!

Fish on...

Todd

P.S. Not to be too picky, but what Salmo g. was referring to is that if you release it, you can't take it out of the water...even if you *could* keep it...either way, good on ya for releasing it!

Whoa! Nice fish dude...even nicer to know he was released to do his thing.

But I don't know why you went to all the trouble of whiting out the background...I know exactly where you caught him...right in this here hole. grin

I totally forgot about that artwork we found there! The cool thing is that we hooked three fish within sight of it smile

Fish on...

Todd

P.S. They weren't as big as Tilley's frown

My practice is to write signs like that next to totally junk water, but the signs I like best are the ones that read: "This area closed to fishing." A lot less pressure on those runs, although I run into a few who can't read.

Luckily for us we didn't notice the sign until after the second hookup, when we landed the fish right next to it on the beach wink

Fish on...
