He was kinda right? Is that like kinda pregnant? Yeah....kinda. They're both in the Final Four aren't they? Granted, different tournaments...  No NIT team is even good enough for round 1 NCAA, so your claim of NIT F4 = NCAA S16 could be among the dumbest things ever said on PP. According only to the Selection Committee. VCU was widely acknowledged as being one of the last, if not the very last team invited. Let's call them #68...and they're playing Kansas tomorrow for the right to go to the Final Four. I know what you're saying Dan. NIT F4 = Dance 16 is some seriously flawed (Coog) logic, but you know what MF is trying to say. I think teams like Alabama, Colorado, and WSU, all NIT 'Final Four' teams, have proven in the postseason they were probably just as worthy of an invite to the 'Dance', if not more, than a number of other teams. Sorry man, I forget where I am sometimes...I'll work on it!  Too bad about Arizona...they started out en fuego, fizzled a little, but were in it 'til the end. Similar to UW, silly costly turnover(s) in crunch time. I think Miller went for the 3 and the win because he knew they would have fouled Williams immediately down low...and he wouldn't have made both freethrows. Ike

Silly delusional coogs, calling their accomplishment of getting to the semi's of the NIT (its not the final four) equivalent to a sweet 16 in the big dance.... There's a reason no one cares about the NIT, cause its filled with mediocre teams who couldn't make the NCAA tourney....
I'd sure like to hear a reasonable explanation for tonight's disaster...Getting pasted by 30 against Wichita State??
Cougs woulda been one and done had they made the big dance...

Not so fast there Chuck! I really have not seen a chink in VCU's armor in any of their games. As much as I'd like Butler to win, I think VCU will take that one. I really like the coaches from both VCU and Butler....
...and really DON'T like either of the "coach Cal's" in the other game. Because I have less hatred for Calhoun than I do for Calipari, I'll be rooting for UConn in that game. Calipari has shown me in the past that he cannot win the big game, while Calhoun has shown he can. I expect the play of the Walker/Lamb duo to be the difference....

VCU's MO is to come at you fast and force you to play faster than your preferred speed.
I'm thinking that Butler is going to be able to handle it and pull this out.
I like both of these teams and I think it's fantastic that a pair of mid-majors can come this far in college hoops.
