Loc: Tacoma Wa,
I'm going to mayfield this weekend, I will be fishing for a mixed bag. I have read that there is bass in mayfield.
Has anyone caught one of these bass ???

Also this lake is full of squaw fish. What should I do with them? I want to WHACK them and toss them back in the water.
Is this legal? Is it the best thing to do?

I don't know much about Mayfield.

If you launch at the park boat launch, run up river (to the north) until the lake forks, stay to the right about two miles up the lake narrows, this is a good place for trout. There are a couple of islands there and if you go about 20 - 30 feet from the islands there will be a drop off, try it in that area.
Good luck.

Bagged some nice `bows (from 12 - 14")trolling under highway 12 where the the tilton flows into the lake last week. We limited in two hours using wedding rings with powerbait. I also pulled a nice 8 or 9" perch on a crawdad (crappie killer). All in all I like this lake.
