Planning a trip to Lake Crescent (Olympic N.F.) in October. Anyone have info on how to fish this lake or been there before? Would appreciate any input. Thanks. Take Care...

My favorite fishing in Crescent is to troll a wooly worm (black or olive) with a sinking fly line. Extra long leaders are nessasary. Or a dick night spoon (very small) along the east shoreline south of the log cabin resort to east beach. The best depth is when you can see bottom on one side of the boat, and not the other. This only seems to produce in the evening or very early morning. Durring the day I would go deeper with lake trolls and hot shots or flat fish. Good luck.

I have never been there, but I have been thinking about going to Crescent lake. It looks really pretty...but these people on this board had some weird experiences:

Let me know how you do, it looks like a beautiful lake.
