I think that what some are trying to say is that the trail that led to Bin Laden's death didn't start 2 years ago, it started 7 years ago. The current administration deserves alot of credit as does the past administration.

Took this long? It started on page one.

Congrats to all involved starting with the WH, CIA and most importantly Seal Team 6!!!

Hopefully now it's understood that intelligence and Special Forces is how you defeat terrorism and not conventional war. Now don't get me wrong I'm all for killing folks who don't want to live free but only when we can afford it smile and right now we can't frown

I guess now we know why Gitmo and "enhanced interrogation techniques" are still running strong thumbs

I spent a memorable night getting three Special Forces guys good and drunk.

I met them at a Sonics game around 2003 or so and spotted them a mile away. Their politeness and civilian haircuts (Delta) was the first clue. Then I learned they where from New Jersey, New Orleans and America Samoa. And then the kid from New Orleans starts telling me he's a huge Cardinals fan and quizzing me about the previous year’s baseball season. Not only did he have no idea that the Cardinals had won the World Series but that Jack Buck had died so I knew for certain then that these three young hero's had been out of country for a loooooong time!

Now those who know me will never accuse me of being overly generous with my money so my friend with me that night was very surprised when I dragged three young strangers (the Sonics sucked after all) to the bar across the street, hand the bartender my credit card and tell him, "I expect these three to have a full drink in their hands all night." We drank until closing at which time a very stern faced Naval Officer in dress whites arrived to drive them back home. Home being a one night stay in a bunk on the Lincoln on their way to Ak for high altitude training.

I too was very glad to have spent one short evening with these incredible Americans. Now whenever I here someone complain about the "next generation" and how they suck I laugh my ass off! I think of those three often and hope they are all well!

And as it turns out Duke's picked up the bill for both me and the soldiers so our night of heavy drinking turned out well for me too! My bill had a handwritten note on it, “Good eye Brood. Tonight soldiers drink free!” Amen!!

You gotta listen. If nothing else then for comedic effect.

It could be,..... but I'm skeptical.

More importantly, I'd like to know the date the picture was taken.

There's been speculation he was hopitalized in Dubai for kidney disease shortly after the 9/11 attacks, was on dialysis, and died of renial failure in 2002.

If the pic is real he looks pretty good for a guy on kidney dialysis for over a decade.

Hell, if I was master of the universe I'd probably keep him on ice and roll his old bones out for public consumption when I needed a proper diversion too.

Regardless, even if he was drug out of some US gov't morgue, thawed out, and dumped in the Arabian Sea never to be heard or seen again, he's dead.

Maybe now we can pull our troops out of this Afghanistan mess that's lasted longer than both WWI and WWII combined.

I dunno....latest reports say two hits, one above left eye and one in chest.
Supposedly, those in the Situation Room watched the POS die via helmet cam.

I'd say good fake.

Edit:
SEAL6 is elected by SEAL team members.
The best of the best.
Glad they're on our side.

Even more details on the OBL photos
Posted by:
CNN White House Senior Supervising Producer Stacia Deshishku
From CNN’s National Political Correspondent Jessica Yellin

A Senior US Official tells CNN 10 hard drives, 5 computers and more than 100 storage devices which includes discs, DVDs and thumb drives were taken from the compound.

The senior us official also says the White House received 3 sets of photos yesterday. The photos included:

1. Photos of OBLs body at a hangar after he was brought back to Afghanistan. This is the most recognizable with a clear picture of his face. The picture is gruesome because he has a massive open head wound across both eyes. It’s very bloody and gory.

2. Photos from the burial at sea on the USS Carl Vinson. Photos of OBL before the shroud was put on and then wrapped in the shroud.

3. There are photos of the raid itself that include photos of the two dead brothers, one of OBLs dead son (adult adolescent, maybe approx 18 yrs old) and some of the inside scene of the compound.

The official says the challenge is that the picture that includes the most recognizable image of OBLs face – from the hangar in Afghanistan – is so gruesome and mangled its not appropriate for say the front page of the newspaper. On the other hand, this is the one that is most identifiable as him

They will have to release the photos.
It's tribal warfare and they have to know without any doubt that the POS is dead and our tribe is badder than their tribe.
We killed their leader.

If there is any doubt about releasing the photos, just think of the Americans that were beheaded on camera by his associates.

A whole team of Navy SEALs told me that KK blew them all.

For a shiny nickel.

And he was wearing a Cooger t-shirt when he did it.

And I believe every f'n thing a Navy SEAL says.

When asked if he blew a seal, KK wiped off his chin and said, "No that's just mayonaise."
