Does anyone know what the launch is like for Stevens Lake? Can I launch a 17 ft boat there?

Busy, you should know this!
rolleyes Check out the Featured Lake section. Lake Stevens is listed. There are maps and pictures of two different boat launches. The parking is not the greatest for either launch so go early if it's the weekend. Good luck on the koks. smile

Yeah Mike, I know. I checked out the site... after I made the post. You been out lately? I tried Sammamish on Tuesday... no luck. Not sure what I was doing wrong. Could have been speed, distance from diver to lure, or depth. We tried to vary depth. I used several lures, even the one that I caught a cutt on with you and Carl. Only thing I could not really vary was speed and since I do not have a speed sensor on my depth finder I did not know how fast I was going. On the other hand there was a front that had moved in the day before and dumped some rain. Spotted some large echos near the Issaquah creek.

Old Man - must have been some kind of computer glitch. I tried to enter my post and was given an error message that said that a firewall was being used because of volume and to go back and reenter my post. I clicked the little 'back' button on Explorer and readded my post wich came back o.k. and then whammo - two posts. I did not delete one because I did not know if it would delete both.

Mike - Let me know when you want to go out again. I am going to keep trying to catch some fish to 'break in' my new boat properly.

Lake Stevens has two launches. Parking isn't too bad during the week or before about 3 on nice (hot) days. There is a launch in the North Cove that is free for fisherman the launch on the South end of the Lake, used to be called Davies Beach now called Wyatt Park, is $3. The later of the two is the better launch with more parking.

Speaking of Lake Stevens...Saw the coolest thing the other day. Sitting out in back of the house getting a little sun, watched this Eagle swoop down and grab a very large fish!!! The thing was easily in the 20" range! After the Eagle grabbed this fish has only got about ten feet of air and landed in a tree right across the lake from me and had about the freshest diner one could have... Pretty cool to watch cool
