Interesting. Privatize liquor sales, but monopolize it for big business. Screw mom-n-pop stores. One more win for the oligarchy.

this is the problem with paid signature gatherers. corporate money can keep putting initiatives on the ballot until they eventually pass.

i remember when initiatives were created due to passion from citizens about government inaction on issues important to them. now initiatives are about getting around lawmakers and citizens by using the power of money.

at least we still have a vote...... for now.....

I yelled at every loser that came up to me asking for signature.

I think it's fine just the way it is. There's way more important shitt that people should be worrying about right now.

Then you'll campaign against the initiative, since it only allows a special class of merchant to sell?

Just got back from Canada. Think Utah's likker laws suck ass?

Try BC or Alberta. Imagine paying $17 for a sixxer, $27 for a halfrack. Fvcksake, a bottle of schitty Canadian whiskey cost nearly $40.

I grabbed a few handles of codeine-laden Canadian Jagermeister* and those were $52 each.

*Real Jager is just cough syrup, chock full of codeine. The Merg could prolly use it for date rape on an unsuspecting party-tramp.

The State has no business being in the alchohol sales business. NONE

Correct. Dismantling any prohibition laws should be flushed down the toilet. It has everything to do with controlling the populace and nothing to do with generating revenue. Even if mom and pop stores sold liquor, the state would rake in even MORE tax revenue.
