My ears are still ringing from an overdose of horsepower.
My eyes are raw from the sweet smell of nitromethane and the memories of gorgeous female race fans still etched in my brain.

A few sights from the 2011 Sonoma California NHRA Nationals.

Way too much to see, but I got my fix.

Next week they come to Kent Washington, hope some of you guys can attend.
Words cannot describe what a violent experience it is to see a combined 16,000 nitro belching horses unleashed in front of you.
You gotta see it to believe it.

hello eek2 eek2 eek2 eek2 eek2 eek2 hello

That would be Jonh Gerlach right Hank?

I dumped a small fortune in his shop back in the 80's building a blown small block chevy for my Camaro and in the end, splattered it at half track at the very race track pictured above.

cool

Highlights were John Force qualifying #1 in Funny Car at 4.060 second run at 311.99 mph and Tony Schumacher in the Team Army Top Fuel Dragster running 321 MPH in the 1,000 foot course with six foot flames blazing out of the headers.

The blast force emitted by these monsters is simply indescribable.

They will sell you the whole seat, but you'll only need THE EDGE!

Nice chassis.

Well not quite drag racing but we spent the afternoon at the Long Beach Rodeo, nothing gets your heart racing like having a 800# bull trying to knock down the fence 6 feet in front of you. That beast was pisssssssed.

Stam will vouge for that, this time next week.
I can't wait.
I LOVE when someone gets to see these ground pounding monsters for the first time.

LOL

laugh

Scouting is what you do before bagging it.
Hell, a 50 year old geezer sneaking a pic of those hot chicks is more like pouting than scouting.

I believe that there was a Priest who was commenting on the quality of the young ladies at a particular university. His friend was surprised that someone who had taken a vow of celibicy would notice them. The Priest's response "Just because one is on a diet does not mean one can't look at the menu."

We have a 1/3 rd mile dirt track down here at Banks.
You go there on a Saturday night, look around and there ain't one foreigner in the crowd. If you're there, you're an American no matter where you came from.

Even if you're not a motorhead go sometime, it's good, clean fun.
