Does anyone know where the best places to fish for crappie and perch on the lake are? What lures do you use for crappie and how deep do they tend to be in spring and summer?

Thanks!!!!

I has been some years ago the last time I fished this lake. I grew up a couple of miles away. I was also went to school with the son of the resort owner that lived on the lake. The resort is still their but is not a public resort anymore. Any where along the shore is good for perch I have caught them just about everywhere on the lake. My favorite place was on the south end near the islands on the west side of lake. Lots of shallow flat bottom between the islands and the shore. Best of all lots of weeds. We generally used worms. When we would jig for crappie we would anchor up then take the oar and bang it on the surface a few times trying to make a lot of noise. I was told this attracted the crappie. I dont know if I believe that part anymore but we had fun doing it as kids and we would still catch fish. We used white and yellow jigs. This lake has some nice sized catfish in it. I caught a striger of them one summer the smallest was 3 pounds and went to six. Thier are also some nice size largemouth bass cruising around.
