Has anyone ever caught crappie out of Deep lake?
If so, what lures did you use and how deep were the fish.(spring and summer)

Thanks!!!

You know, I fished Deep Lake VERY hard this summer, as my like, hundred posts on it here and on the site will attest. I was out almost every day, killed the kokes, caught tons of bows, caught a few bass, some perch, some bullhead, unfortunately some scullpin.

I never ONCE saw a crappie. I have only met one person who claims to have caught a crappie in Deep Lake. My suggestion: hit it for the salmonids and largemouth. Thats about IT. If you want perch even, just go to Kapowsin.

There used to be alot of crappie on the far end of the lake in that little cove full of trees. Not sure if the trees are still there or not. Haven't been in years. Worked with a guy that used to go out there and catch alot of crappie.

Trees are still there, that loggy pond area.

Weeds havent been a problem except on the left (from beach) shore on the far end. It is a real shallow, rocky area with weeds. I stay away from there because I keep picking up scullpin and perch when im trolling. I'm not a big warmwater fisherman... yet.
