I just got done reading the feature on ravensdale lake by Brendan I also share a love for this lake i was born and raised here and have fished the lakes here all my life one of the things i love about this lake is the creek that runs out of it the first quarter mile is spawning ground if you go there in january you can see big salmon in there spawning thats realy somthing when think they have to come through lake sawyer to get there then if you go there in march you can see cutthroats from the lake in there and its interesting that they school up acording to size and those schools can be pretty big somtimes also theres lots of crayfish in the creek and fresh water mussels one of my favorite times to fish it is june on a quarter moon this lake has been select fisheries for a while so i fly fish when im there ive kept a journal for over 30 years on my fishing doing stomach content checks on the fish that time of year i find many things in there black and brown chronomids two inch crayfish i do very well on nymps on sinking line good luck fishing reel Mcoy
