Usually that lake and fish lake across the highway are good this time of year because they are just thawing and the fish are hungry.

I dont think they have been frozen all winter due to the warmer temps, but I could be wrong.

Dont know what methods you will be using but there are a fair amount of Rainbows and Browns in each lake. Be ABSOLUTELY sure you release any Dolly Vardens and any Kokanee because they are protected there. My brother could tell you how much money the WDFW tickets are for keeping one illegally (even if by accident.) he tells me ( from personal experience) that they patrol that area pretty well because of the protected fish.

-edit- They caught alot of fish last summer on bobber, 6' leader, and nightcrawlers. Also did well on wet fly's, and dropping a nightcrawler to the bottom.

Hey one other method used on Fish lake successfully when I was a kid (I caught my first trout on Fish lake when I was probably 3) ...is trolling pop gear and a worm or spinner along the east shore and southeast shore along the lilypad lines. Always caught the biggest Browns fishing that way.

Early season I use rainbow powerbait. Later in the season I use the a worm/mellow combination. Mostly fish the east end, both north and south shore, in around 25'-45' of water.
