Was wondering if there is a dock at the Boat ramp on this lake? I need to know if I need to wear my waders in the morning?

The WDFW launch does not have a dock. There is plenty of beach though to get in and out of your boat. The other launch, American Lake Park, does have a dock.

Think I just might run up to the big lake, Lake WA.

I was thinking Sammamish, but I've always wanted to fish American for the Kokanee.
My dad use to fish it back inthe late 80's and caught monster Kokanee.

I don't think the monster Kok's are there any more. If you are going to target them, fish in the cove just south of the little marina that is straight across from the WDFW launch at the south end of the lake.

When I was at American last (1-2 years ago or so), a guy was telling me he brought in his and his wifes limit in 1 1/2 hours at 35 feet with a wedding ring, all kokes. They said they hit the lake almost every day (they live near it or on it or somethin, and are retired), and always have that good of luck.

Just got back From American Lake. Except for a few 8" stockers, the fishing was slow........ First time I've ever been there and I very well could of missed the bite this morning.
I took the wife and boy and a 8:00am get up is extremely early for them.

With all the T-storms rolling through today I am sure the bite was off everywere.

I fished Lake WA from noon to four pm without a single hit.
