VANCOUVER, B.C. -- Another running shoe with what appears to be a severed foot inside has washed up on a British Columbia shoreline.
CTV-TV reports a person spotted the latest foot floating in False Creek near Downtown Vancouver Tuesday afternoon.
"[It was] quite disturbing -- quite a discovery to make," Vancouver Police Const. Jana McGuinness told CTV.
Police cordoned off the area and the BC Coroners Service has taken charge of the investigation, CTV said.
Investigators so far have no theories about how the foot ended up in the water.
Several other feet discovered since 2007
The Vancouver foot was the first discovered since March, when a foot inside a running shoe washed ashore on a beach in Powell River, B.C.
Seven other detached feet have washed up in British Columbia and three have been found in Washington state waters.
All but one of the previously discovered feet were in running shoes.
The first severed foot, discovered in August 2007 on Jedediah Island, northeast of Nanaimo, was associated with a deceased man whose name police withheld at the request of his family.
A man's right foot found on Gabriola Island in August 2007 remains unidentified.
Two feet found on Valdez and Westham islands in July 2008 belonged to the same man.
And two female feet found in Richmond, B.C., in December 2008 belonged to the same woman. The other remains are still unidentified.

How many shoes with feet in them have been found all together? It's weird!
