i went out there the other day, fishing it for the first time. i was hoping for kokanee, so i used the sling blade/kokanut setup tipped with white corn

caught a few trout, but no kokes frown

a local source says the fishing for kokanee is good around july and august, so i can't wait

the lake is very deep and clear, there was about 20 feet of visibility from the surfacewhen i was there, and it was windy. probably even better on a nice day. i heard there are catfish in here, i'd love to catch a few sometime...i bet they taste great since the water is so clean

Its located in Olympia. Shhhh.... oh nevermind, its surrounded by houses.

It used to be a nice place to swim due to the clean water and 5 mph speed limit. Is there still a public ramp there? I think the WDFW and local clean up crews got tired of picking up after the slobs and shut it down.

there's still a public launch, but there's a sign that says you can't be there unless you're fishing or boating, i believe

Thanks for the info Chum Man. I am wondering if having a WDFW decal on your rig would suffice to be at the launch.... what's the difference wether or not you have a boat as long as you have a decal?

I'm not interested in fishing there but rather for another lake to swim around in the summer. Millersylvania is out of the question now for me because of the State park charges $5 even if I'm only there for an hour or so to swim a lap or two.

That's another story
