Are you looking for a ride or offering one? I might have either advice or a boat if my partner bails on me this weekend.

I fished Sammamish years ago for smallmouth and perch. Had a friend with a boat and we'd go up the east side of the lake stopping at the boat docks and some of the submerged weed beds. We caught nice smallmouth and big perch using nightcrawlers and a couple of split shot.

So, moseying up the east side, checking out the docks and the weed beds in about 15 feet of water should be a starting point.

I haven't been to Sammamish yet this year but expect to.

rocket, i used to fish smallies alot when i was younger and the thing to catching quite a few is matching color to what there feed is, say if there is a big population of crawdads in lake sammamish, then go with browns, pumpkin, and my favorite is kalin green chartruese pepper, also may want to geta few fat raps, i got some in the crawdad color and they have been one of my best lures of all time..i havent fished any lakes around here in a boat for smallies, so im not much help with that but rivers are another stories, if you can find some rocks, and other submerged cover, there will usually be smallies in the area
