Just wondering if there are any good fishing lakes close to the tri-cities? I mean within a half hour to an hour drive. I fish Lake Lenice but it takes almost an hour and ah half to drive to. I have also fished wenas lake and some of the I-82 ponds. Any other suggestions that are closer? Thanks.

Sambo-
I lived in Kennewick for 10 years until I moved to Port Angeles a few years ago. There is nothing to speak of within half hour. Quarry pond near burbank, but thats a joke. The drive to lenice may seem long, but I sure miss it. Thats the only thing Tri-cities has over where I live now. I'd just deal with that drive as often as I could, for that caliber of fishing. There are a few smallish bass ponds, and the reach is awesome for smallies. good luck.

Elkrun,

Thanks for the info. I am fairly new to the tri-cities. I fish steelies the majority of the time, but was looking for a close place to take the family trout fishing in the boat. May have to try Sprague Lake around Ritzville. I will continue to fish Lenice to change things up.

Sambo - Get a Wa.St. Road Map and follow hiway 17 due North from Pasco to Othello. Mesa Lk., Scooteny Res., and of course the Potholes Res.. Lived there for 8 yrs. and took the kids on regular outings with good results. Beyond Sprague Lk. are several great trout waters in Williams, Badger and Downs. This 61 YO used fish them with the Gandparents in the 40's.
