the TROUTFISHERMAN and i fished for banks lake rainbows again today, and zeroed out! we fished the same places in the same way that we were successful at before, but nothing happened. even tried the highly touted west wall trout haven, where several other boats also had no luck today.

a fish & wildlife agent was at the launch ramp and said that last weekend's walleye tournament on banks was slow, too. he said that the 102 boats/204 fishermen caught 178 walleye in two days, and that last year the catch was about 600 walleye.

reminds me of deer hunting: there is a difference between "fishing" and "catching fish."

I heard things are a little slow right now down at tht Potholes too. A friend who fishes it says the water is up about 6 more feet from when we fished it 3 weeks ago. Said it was real hard to find the fish. He only caught 2.

us chickens don't like nasty weather. Shoot that story has me heading for the high ground right now.

My friend who lives over there part time didn't say anything about the wind..... unless it was that day he said "it was too windy to fish".
