went to launch my boat today and had to wait 30 minutes to get in. And when i went to take out i had to wait almost 2 hours. Alot of people/boats with bad tempers, but also alot of nice guys helping to get things moving faster. Not a fun day to launch. Other than that it was fun. Water wash choppy but nice weather.

All the scenarios you described can be expected this time of year with the hot temps. Not much you can do about it but deal with it. rolleyes

Kenmore was supposed to be only a Sportsmen launch but when the weather gets nice it is filled with ski boats and PWC. I have not seen the parking sticker enforced for five or six years. Parking is terrible and the launch is poor with only the one ramp. Try Mercer Island under the East Channel Bridge , good ramp and parking. They do charge a fee, I think about six bucks.

Doug,

All ya have to do is park at the Kenmore Launch without your WDFW sticker, and you will find out in a hurry how well the Kenmore Police inforce the fine. thumbs

Saw the worst example of "jerkism" at a local, westside lake. A couple had just returned from fishing and the husband was trying to back the trailer down the ramp, with the wife giving directions. After a couple of attempts, he got out and asked "the rocket scientist" (his wife) to go ahead and do it. She made a couple of attempts, with him moving the trailer. Yep, it was a small trailer and could be easliy repositioned. He then got in the SUV and just took off, leaving her at the ramp with the boat / gear. It got to be dark and he still had not returned, after a couple of hours. Fortunately, one of the other people there offered to take her where she needed to go.

maybe a way to get the space you need at the Kenmore launch is to drive a really beat up truck and act like you've had one beer too many.

I bet you'd get all the "arm room" you needed.

Sully, since you're under 21.... I'd skip the part of acting like "one beer too many". Too many other problems that would come with that. But the beater truck is a good way to make sure people give you room for parking and such.
