Hi all!

If you are interested in high lakes data in the Mt. St. Helens area, we have just released, "Recovery of Fish Populations in Lakes Affected by the May 18, 1980 Eruption of Mount St. Helens." We have a limited number of copies so if you'd like one, please email me at kelsyslk@dfw.wa.gov and I will send you one!

Stacie's report is a good one for reading. Lots of "interesting" details.

How many got it and read it... (and want to talk).

I'd be interested in the feedback too!!!

What more info would like? What worked/what didn't.

Anything you can comment on!

Stacie,

I got the second one you sent - thank you. The pictures are amazing. To see the before and after is really someting. So is this information going to be on the WDFW site? Scanning and uploading takes a bit of work, if it's online it's one less thing to do.

Looking forward to someday exploring some of those lakes!

Stacie,

I'll give you some feedback after I dig into it some more. Don't have it with me right now so need to look at it again and take notes so I know what to give feedback on.

Thanks again for such a good report.

I am expecting it to be online in about a week or so. I will post the link as soon as I get word that it has been uploaded!

I just received the report on monday, thank you for the fast response i appreciate it. wow what a wealth of info. that is contained within. it is very interesting to read about all the effects that the eruption had on the lakes, as well as to find out about how some of the populations survived through all of the devastation. it was very thorough and like i said contained a lot of interesting and usefull information. on aside note i had always wonderd what had happened at spirit lake and the detailed and in depth reveiw on spirit was very enlightening. i remember some the myths that swirled around what happened up there , and some of the stories were some real doozies. anyway thank you again for the information.

Glad you liked it. There will be a lowland lakes version specific to southwest Washington out in a couple months (or sooner if I can get it finished!).

I'll let everyone know when that is available.

Stacie -

Thanks again - very interesting reading and it made for an interesting 5 minute piece on the local outdoors radio show in Wenatchee.

By the way - if you've got any pictures you'd like to share let me know!

Thanks again - your efforts here are really appreciated!
