Want MORE power......would like to go to another Etech but 115/85... Part of a package deal, good runner, just not the power I want....will push my boat 30+ mph......with 2 people Has NO MORE than 30 hours, probably less..... Price....around $10,000.....really depends what a new 115/85 will cost me.....could be less?????? Tiller, and power tilt

I had a 60/40 Mercury on my old boat....so I just knew the 90/65 Etech would be more than enough for my new boat.....and it was a package deal......never dawned on me to "think more"......in my next life I'll remember all the things I've learned from PP..........
Before I buy a whole new motor.....going to try the 4 blade SS impeller from Woolridge.....not unhappy with top end speed, 31-32 mph, just want more "out of the hole".........

have 4 blade in the 90/65 yami on a 16 predator not sure it makes much much more power than standard impeller on that size motor.seems as all the90/65 i have owned and they were on 16 foot sleds.dont punch out of the water real quick, you need a 115 at least to get that boat up quick. Save the money on the four blade towards new motor.

I run a 90 on my 16'x66" Koffler and it's just enough to push 3 guys around. I remember when you were mulling over what size motor to get, I said that the 90 was too small for that boat. I'm not getting any satisfaction by saying I was right, but am saying don't waste any more money by putting a stainless 4-blade impeller on that motor. Cut your losses and move on. Good luck.

Thanks but it doesn't do any good if mine is not sold......Actually, after calling around...think I'll just jump to the 135.....weights the same as the 115, and cost if not that different.....but we'll see......
Thanks again..........

If you are still going with an ETEC you might consider that the 115 and the 130 are the same motor. The HP is measured at the prop and not the head. Which means the they are geared differently in the lower unit. Once you take your 130 HP lower unit off to install your pump, guess what............. Yep, back to 115 HP! Here is the Evinrude specs..............
