Thought I should finally get into the action by posting. Think this site is great. I live in Monroe but originally from the Eastside of the state, Ellensburg, and still do most of my fishing over there.

Walleye, trout, perch and salmon are the main stays for me. But known to go after anything that bites.

Heading over to O'Sullivan for a few days with a buddy Thursday for some walleye and trout action fishy

I'll give a report on how we do.

Look forward to joining in on the fun on this board.

Welcome IC Fish,
I just read the report on MarDon's site, looks like fishing has been good so I better get over there too!

I have been fishing there since 1975 and love going over for some walleye, perch, trout, bass
what ever is biting, but first I need to get a new fuel tank for the old 9.9 Game Fisher outboard and replace my propane valve on the motorhome.

The wife is going out of town soon for 4 or 5 days beer beer beer banana and I need to be ready to head for the Potholes. laugh

Good luck over there and give us a good report when you get back thumbs

Hey Badbobber been hitting the Potholes since '76 myself. Get your stuff ready. Great place to go early in the year, not many players. Just great fish'in hello

Once you have Walleye everything else is 2nd best. Sorry to all the salmon folk out there.

Thanks Mike C for the welcome and this site. I lost my Dad and good fishing buddy over the last couple years so it's been tough. I carry on the tradition with my daughter and a few others. Hope to link up with others and have some fun fish'in.

Fish on!

The rez is a bit "slow" for walleyes right now. In two hard days of fishing we scraped up one trout... maybe saw a couple of walleyes deep in Lind Coulee and nothing in either the main lake or up Crab Creek. Crab Creek was full of crud from top to bottom... no fishie signatures in that channel at all. Might still be a little early or the 45 mph winds gave the channel a lot of bouncing top to bottom.

I'll give it a month before I go back.

Just a word to the wise....

One more thing. The shallows may be the key to catching fish here as I only saw one other boater with a fish. The people fishing off the Mardon dock"stub" had fish of some sort on stringers. They were in shallower water than we were.

Lake surface temps where we fished ranged from 44-48 degrees (1 ft under surface)

Thanks Zen for the update. It can be tough this time of year on O'Sullivan. I have found in the past, walleyes really shallow down in Linde Coulee or Medicare. Trolling in 3-5 feet isn't uncommon. Some people think your crazy when they see you so close to shore. My thought is the perch are in there shallow spawning and the eye's are after a little perch feast. Some wind also helps. Usually don't catch large, 5lb plus, but good eaters at 18"-20".

Bait on the bottom for trout is best until it warms up some more.

Best thing though the beer will always be cold and ready for sampling beer

Thanks to one and all.
