I used to be in the other net playing against him back in the day. He opened the door for other 'Mericans to be able to play overseas. He gave credibility to other keepers who eventually were taken serious. We have plenty of players playing overseas at different levels but the goalkeeper position is where we've excelled. Tim Howard, Brad Friedel, Kasey, Brad Guzan.

That was a good game. I wish more games were played wide open like that.

Who did you play for Winterrun?

I played for 10 years as a kid in the LW Soccer Assoc. I was on the Redmond Roadrunners from 67-76 or so. I was the fat kid playing fullback. If they would have given cards, I would have a whole deck! In that whole time, I scored 1 goal in a route game.
