If they raised the taxes at your place of work and you could go to another company and pay thousands less, would you? Thats the correct question in this case.

Well, the fact that Boeing is literally pulling the strings behind the scenes on this one should tell you who really is in control of this issue.

Whats good for Boeing is good for Washington.
With the recent huge orders, they are going to need some people who can think. 10M is well worth it if it keeps Boeing happy.

They've made $2.65 Billion year to date. They need the state's $10 million? Really?

They need it as much as they need more tax breaks.

The question is not whether they need it but whether they can get it somewhere else. Answer? Yes. They are in business to make money....hellllloooo. Or I guess to the geniuses here they could stay here and we could tax them alot more and the unions could squeeze them some more and they should stay here and like it cause it is only fair...right?

It all boils down to this - I'm right, everyone else is wrong, and anyone who disputes this is clearly a dumbfuck.

I'm with grizz1. thumbs

We should eliminate ALL taxes and regulations that negatively affect Boeing's bottom line. We should make unions and collective bargaining illegal here in Washington state and give them free reign to all of our taxpayer-funded public resources.

They're a business and need to make money after all. doh

Probably their #1 resource for new hires.

And they do train easily wink

Let's see, when the state didn't do enough for Boeing to keep its headquarters in Seattle, the whiners whined. And when the state didn't do enough to keep all the Boeing Dreamliner assembly in WA, the whiners whined.

And now, when the state decided to invest in some education that may develop future employees for Boeing, guess what? Yeah, the whiners always whine.

Goes to show, you cannot ever placate Boeing or whiners.

C'mon 4Salt. What we are looking for is some balance. Washington needs to be comptetive or we will see all of those planes built elsewhere.

There definentely should be a preference to hire vets. That should be worth some tax incentives.
