I'm sure there are a lot of programmed trades kicking in causing the market to swing up and down for those who can make fortunes in both directions. Vedder is probably making a fortune today trading on his IPhone from Florida...Fun to see the partisan cliches fly when the bait is tossed in the water around here...same old same old...different day.
My favorite one today is: "partisan loudmouth dipshits"....I think Todd was referring to those who don't agree with him but sounds like ....well you decide.

You are right about the programed trades in general but the big thing that drove the market today was six central banks including the US FED agreed to create more liquidity,(bailouts), for the world market,( Europe/Euro). Good news for stock traders, not so much for US citizens as it pressures the dollar value down. The fear over greed comes from the healthy European economy's like Germany overcoming their greed,and I can see their point, of not wanting to bail out the failing countries like Greece for fear of total euro collapse. PS, I do get your point about approval rating fluctuation having nothing much to do with the reality of what the president does on the world economy level.

Think what you like...but what I "think" is exactly what I wrote...those who thought it was all Obama's fault when the market dropped should now be singing his praises since it's going up.
